clk230 - Another day, another silo - or the same one? Nice abstract composition.
What can I say? I have a thing for silos and indeed I found a different one for Day 12.

This was a night shot and the building was lit with coloured lights. Looking forward to seeing your images when you're up to photographing again.

We've had a few clear nights in Adelaide this month so I've attempted some astrophotography. The Sony A-mount 85mm f/2.8 collects a lot of light compared to many of my other lenses (a big advantage for night shots) however I found it has very strong purple and blue fringing around bright stars. I also found I have a lot to learn when it comes to astrophotography although I enjoyed it and can see more of it in my future.

And so another challenge ends. One lens, 29 of 30 days posted. No talk thread participation though. That was not by intention, I simple could not find the time and drive to do it. Next a voting thread and Exhibition!

Foolishness is over for another year. I hadn't made up my mind to join this year but a 'cheap' FE 100-400 decided for me. I enjoyed exploring this beautiful lens at the long end. Challenging but very satisfying!

That was a bit of a toughy for me, I didn't manage my 7/week but I always seem to take one of two of my annual favourites during challenges. Its great to see everyones work, a bit of pressure seems to bring out the best in us!

Right, one more day then!
You win or you learn, I seem to be doing a lot of learning....

Fred_S - Would have been fun to get some bubble bokeh with the bubbles in the glass.

That would be nice indeed, but bubbles only appear in the background not oin the subject itself.

I didn't phrase it well. I meant bubble bokeh in the background of an item featuring bubbles would have been fun :)

Now I see! I'll keep it in mind and see what I can do for you!

Apart from the afterparty (thanks for the reminder Pieter!) I am done.
Posted 24 shots (+ thubmnails). Not shot on 24 different days though, but in line with my challenge.
Overall not too happy though. Mostly (semi) macro shots, so a lack of diversity. Also I have noticed that (probably due to lack of personal creativity) I rely a lot on the creative effects provided by the lens.
For a next challenge I have to get out of this comfort zone. Maybe use a wide angle for some landscapes, street work or city scapes. Or even try a 400mm or so
Another area where I failed against my personal 'ambition' was the commenting.

Nevertheless, it was a good challenge where I learned a lot and most of all I have enjoyed everyone's work a lot and want to thank everyone for commenting om my shots!

Looking forward to the voting and Exhibition!

It has been an interesting month, so many great shots from all. As ever commenting proved more of a strain than taking pictures!

I managed to shoot and post 28 days (one day missed was filled by an extra shot from an earlier day) and day 15 was only missed by a few minutes - the graveyard shot was a little past midnight.

Some of my shots were a bit desperate, including a few I'd rather forget. As for the choice of lens - sadly, the Min 50mm f3.5 failed to raise itself in my estimation (as I'd hoped it would), but the pocket rocket has been a joy to use. But I can't say that I'm not looking forward to a more flexible choice of lens.

Thanks to all for contributing - commiserations to ktrucke for the lost camera and pegelli for the shocking event nearby.

Fully agree on this.
It was kind of a struggle but looking at the thumbnails it worked out very well. For most of us anyway.

A couple more days of comments. I hope to come back for the last couple of days as well. Thanks everyone! As always I had fun with the challenge.

day 26
URL=forum_posts.asp?TID=134275&PID=1579082]gregja[/URL] - Really cool shot. I can't believe the dog held still!
Dopol - Magical lighting. I almost expect to see a fairy peeking out.
darosa - I love how the depth of field turns these rods into dots.
clk230 - Striking.
pegelli - The bridge makes this shot.
addy landzaat - That's a big boat.
Snegren - Another lovely swirl.
C_N_RED_AGAIN - Looks like he wants to give you a piece of his mind.
alanfrombangor - Definitely decay although I'd say the plywood over the entry isn't super old.
MiPr - Nice light and bokeh.
Robbie - Idyllic spot.
Fred_S - My favorite of yours so far.
bigsi - A little dark for my taste but pretty.
Phil Wood - My kind of shot - industrial

day 27
alanfrombangor - Had to look up Blondin. :) That must be a neat museum.
MiPr - I think I like this one better than the last cactus. That one was more in shadow. I also really like the white background.
pegelli - I know they're weeds but they're so pretty.
darosa - It almost looks like clipart pasted on top of a photo.
gregja - Just a little bit too obscure for my taste.
Fred_S - I really like this one too but day 26 is still my favorite.
Snegren - So shiny. The lighting highlights the silver nicely.
bigsi - And almost as pretty as the other field.
Phil Wood - Surprisingly green area for a power plant.
Dopol - I like how you stopped the action but he still looks like he's moving.

-Karlen
