APRIL FOOLISHNESS 2019
Voting Thread

This is the voting thread for the exhibition.
Please use this thread to vote for your favourite entries of each participant with more than 10 images in the Thumbnail thread!

Voting will be open for 'long enough'

We encourage everyone to add comments as well, but on the line following your votes - please keep it within the format to make counting easier.
And please do not respond to comments directly in this thread! Keep using the Talk Thread for that purpose.

What should you do now?

1) Go to the Thumbnail thread.
2) For each participant, pick your favourites. Please use the number to the left or above the photo in the thumbnails. If there are no numbers, please do the maths yourself.
3) Post your votes here. You can award up to two photos by assigning 3 points to the one you like best and 1 point to the second one. You can award only one photo if you like; in that case give either 3 points or 1 point to that photo. Copy the template from below, give your votes and please stick to the format:
username1: 3pts: image number
username1: 1pt: image number
Comments: add your comment here

username2: 3pts: image number
username2: 1pt: image number
Comments: add your comment here
.
.
.
etc
4) Feel free to add comments, but please keep to the format!
5) Feel free to reply to the comments people give you, but please do it in the Talk Thread
6) Have fun!

Thank you for voting!
At the end of this, we'll count all the votes and have a great exhibition from the challenge with the 'winning' image from each participant/artist

P.S. If the thumbnails are correct, Ctrl-clicking on them will open the original posting full size in a new window

P.P.S. vote for yourself if you want to - you're allowed an opinion on which was your own favourite

P.P.P.S If I missed someone (or included someone who shouldn't be included), please let me know

Comment: I found it very difficult to chose from a pretty consistent set - it was interesting to see the theme develop over the month.

onsplekkie 3pt: 04
onsplekkie 1pt: 10
Comment: I love these two images both of which capture people doing nothing special in interesting ways.

Robbie 3pt: 08
Robbie 1pt: 15
Comment: The long exposure night shot works really well.

Snegren 3pt: 08
Snegren 1pt: 29
Comment: Difficult to choose among the swirls for 1pt but my 3pt pick was easy, a really nice image.

gregja 3pt: 08
gregja 1pt: 19
Comment: Very difficult to choose - the promenade scene, the white gums, shard, foggy girders, the bridge scene - I love them all.

bigsi 3pt: 03
bigsi 1pt: 07
Comment: Another hugely difficult choice, beautiful landscapes in superb light, wonderful fritillary shot.

Comment: Almost whole your series is all about "terxtured decay " which I like very much.

onsplekkie 3pt: 2
onsplekkie 1pt: 15
Comment: Many interesting shots in the series, but this year I'm into flowers and such and I just love when OOF area is nice and bubbly ;)

Robbie 3pt: 23
Robbie 1pt: 8
Comment: The "star effect" helped to choose the winner in your series of shots (but I had hard time as the "smooth water" was close to win)

Snegren 3pt: 6
Snegren 1pt: 9
Comment: The bokeh was a bit too crazy for my taste but somehow it worked excellent for the above two photos

gregja 3pt: 19
gregja 1pt: 25
Comment: Nice landscapes, but the golden lighting on 19 are just perfect

bigsi 3pt: 3
bigsi 1pt: 30
Comment: Chickens win! They have beautiful painting-like lighting. Outstanding. The second shot I selected is absolutely stunning with its minimalism.

--- MiPr 3pt: 20
--- MiPr 1pt: 13
--- Comment: So hard to choose own photos, but I'm really happy with the voooming fly and those B&W flowers turned out exceptionally well (please mind: I was a bit struggling with this lens).

Dopol 3pt: 28
Dopol 1pt: 4
Comment: Hard to choose the best one - whole series is evenly solid. Eventually the right moment captured on 28 made it for me, bu tthat lone hare is also nice.

Phil Wood 3pt: 15
Phil Wood 1pt: 7
Comment: Excellent concept and execution on 15. The 7 is so nicely showing UK canals - great.

Fred_S 3pt: 3
Fred_S 1pt: 12
Comment: I knew it will be hard with your photos. Too many great ones to choose from. 3 for the great composition and bokeh. 12 - for showing the essence of photography.

pegelli 3pt: 21
pegelli 1pt: 23
Comment: Not frequently we can see "environmental portraits" and the one on 21 is excellent example. On 23 I like very much the juxtaposition of the statue and the man sitting - well observed (isn't this the point of photography - to be able to notice such things?)

ktrucke 3pt: 15
ktrucke 1pt: 25
Comment: I liked the colours of those fishes as well as the play of DOF. The jelly is interesting too.

clk230 3pt: 25
clk230 1pt: 3
Comment: 25 is outstanding. Simple but very effective. As for the 3 - I love the vintage feel on this photo.

C_N_RED_AGAIN 3pt: 28
C_N_RED_AGAIN 1pt: 18
Comment: Birds, birds, birds, butterfly ... and captured in excellent way - this is my fave! But the bird-shot comes the second ;)

angora 3pt: 11
angora 1pt: 9
Comment: Many excellent flower shots but 11th looked the best to me (despite, or maybe - because of the busy bokeh). But then the double-cat was a must-have ;)
I'm noise-blind. And noise-about-noise-deaf too ... |   BTW, Dyxum Weekly Exhibitions don't grow on trees ...

Comment: My own set. My monthly challenges usually generate one or two I'm especially pleased with and a couple of embarassing desperation shots, this time I've been consistent with no extremes.

Comment: I admire your ability to create a compelling image from small architectural details but #26 takes the prize, there's something surreal about it.

Comment: Same lenses as me but producing a very different set of rural beauty.

Comment: The critters take the prize with the masterful compoistion of the snail and the wafer thin dof catching the insect.

Comment: #21 is the kind of photo that gets the viewer speculating, with the two half full bottles will her friend be returning or have they quarrelled?

Comment: Another absorbing rural set, though less bucolic than bigsi's.
