I doubt we will be out of this corona shut down by early April. If we are, I might (will) join. Too soon decide what or how.

I am in covid pending. My work may not allow for too much time as of late, However, I will do what I can as circumstances allow.

Extreme primes is my challenge
Sony a99ii
Sigma 8mm f4 for the 1st couple of weeks
Sigma 1000mm f8 towards the end if daylight allows. I would like to try at least 1 shot w/2x extender.

Going to try pic-a-day, but may revise depending on my situation in April.

a900, a700, 5600hs, 1200 (w/MFC-1000), 3x converted f1.2 (Rokkor 58, Nikon 50 ais, and Pentax 50), 85mm f1.4, 100mm f2.8, 70-400G, and way too much other stuff to mention

One mans woe is another man's dough. Apparently nobody is bidding on eBay due to the Corona crisis so I picked up a very rare Minolta MD VFC Rokkor 24mm 1:2.8 for a good price. Like the STF this lens has a unique Minolta feature:

The VFC (Variable Field Curvature) lens features a control ring that enables the plane of sharp focus to be adjusted from flat to convex, to concave according to requirements. Turning the VFC control ring to the left of the central diamond turns the field from flat to concave (bowl shaped). Turning it to the right of the diamond produced a convex (dome shaped) field. These curvatures can be used to obtain sharp rendition of three dimensional subjects (eg. the surface of a ball, people sitting around a table etc.) even when the depth of flat field is insufficient to do so. Curving the field in this way is particularly effective at relatively close focusing distances and large apertures.

For a wide open shooter like me that sounds like an April Foolishness opportunity. I just wonder why the feature has been discontinued, perhaps not such a good idea after all? We'll see.

So now it is a two prime challenge:
Minolta MD 50mm 1:1.2
Minolta MD VFC Rokkor 24mm 1:2.8
Unspoken expectations are the foundation on which disappointment is built

Oddly enough, except for not dining out and only shopping very occasionally, (I hate shopping anyway), my life is not much different right now. I work from home and live in such a rural area, it's no problem getting out where there are no other humans.

For me, it's my new to me 85mm f1.4 Minolta RS I bought from Mambo recently. I'm pretty much doing the foolishness now, as I've had the lens on camera for almost everything the past couple weeks. I took it off a couple days ago for something I just could not pull off at 85 mm, used my 16-50 and again for something tonight. Otherwise, it's been only the 85.

So the Minolta 85mm f1.4 RS and 3 per week (at least I hope).

I'll join.
With max focal length, I have in prime (Zeiss Batis 135mm).
Just to make it, when I have to shoot out of the window.
Be yourself; everyone else is already taken

Great Domien

It will be a challenging challenge, lots of photo's from inside and around the house. But on the other hand a nice distraction from the current COVID measures. I hope we'll get a few more participants
Mind the bandwidth of others, don't link pictures larger then 1024 wide or 960 pix high, see here
