Last year I found it a real struggle

As I'm starting a masterclass-course and I'm on a trip to France at the end of the month, I'll give it another try for 3/week.
Lenses? Don't know yet

Help me to run to the finish
Harm, with A7iv+A7iii plus 12-400mm glass.

BTW, with lenses 14, 16 to 35, 18, 24, 28 to 75, 35, 50, 70 to 300, and 100 to 400mm I don't know yet what to choose...

Any ideas?

Well, it's basically a prime challenge where we allow zoom ends for people with too few or no primes. I don't think you qualify for that so that rules out the zooms

And if you have little time and need flexibility a macro is always a good idea (Don't you have the 90/2.8 macro) so that might be an obvious first and safe choice. Then throw in your 18 or 24 mm as a second lens to have a wide option and you're in business I think.

I'd echo pegelli's suggestion, for my first Dyxum Challenge I chose 30 and 100mm macros on my A77 - I don't think I did many macro shots, but it was reassuring to know it was an option if all else failed.

Mmm, I guess that it sounds good.

Indeed, I do own the SEL90M28G, a great macro lens. Together with 18mm, I think that 'll do the trick next month.

Here we go!

Fingers crossed.

Ok, I'm all sorted for my challenge. I'll be using my mc 50mm 1.4 and mc 135mm 2.8 for at least 3 per week, I'll take more but after failing the last few challenges I don't want to put undue pressure on myself!

I'm away rowing in the Scillies at the end of the month so I'll post when I get back. Good luck everyone!

I'll be working in Singapore for the better part of April and cannot commit to anything as I don't know if I will find opportunity for photography. And if I do find opportunity, I'll not be focused on a one or two prime challenge. Having said that, as I'm certainly taking the LAOWA 12mm f/2.8 and shift converter (17mm f/4) I possibly have a two prime challenge package that can get me a couple of shots that qualify.

After some thinking I've selected my lenses for the month:

First my smallest lens, a Leica M-Summaron 35/2.8, bought by my father in 1960 and still in the family

The second one is the Sony FE 85/1.8, a lens I already have for almsost 3 1/2 years but didn't use very much yet, it's time to change that.

Still undecided about the lens to use next to the Zeiss Batis 135/2.8.

The 20/1.8G - great lens, loving it but a bit wide.
The 28/2 - great focal length, but the lens is not that inspiring.

Maybe I split the difference and use the Canon EF 24/2.8....

I would love it if the wild rumour of the 28/1.4GM (or G?) is true, but I do not hold my breath
