Ok, first attempt for the Rule of Thirds.

I focused on the headlight.

Or, on the badge of CitroŽn (the "double chevron")

Well done, Harm! And thank you for adding the RoT displays. That's a pass.

Cheers... Brian

Ian, The subjects (i.e., group of 3 people) are a bit below the RoT intersection.

Please try again.

Cheers... Brian

P.S. You are only allowed to enter photos in one assignment at a time. I will unhide and judge your LL entry when this assignment is completed.

Thanks Brian. I was going to resubmit this assignment anyway. After re-reading the rules I realised this wasn't taken for the assignment. In fact the ship was the subject, and the point of the picture was that the people appeared uninterested in its passing. My title was "Just Another Ship" as they never paid any attention to it. Thanks for the feedback.

Second Attempt. The sign is the point of focus. No cropping has taken place. Composed using the gridlines in the camera viewfinder. I should really have got a little closer to the sign, but I was pressed for time. I thought the position on the left of the frame using the larger sign to point into the biggest part of the frame and the smaller sign to point into the smaller part nicely highlighted the various thirds. Not the most attractive subject!

@IanC: Ian, the grid in your viewfinder is quite accurate

That's a pass!

Cheers... Brian

P.S. a more interesting subject next time?
