Been 2 weeks now since I last visited this spot after being tipped off by another birder that there was a pair preparing a nest. Same reserve where I've been getting Azure shots for years but a new stretch of creek rather than the usual ponds.
Turns out it's my old friend (can recognize her by the spots on the feet) and today's visit found her busy delivering morsels into the nest.

As always she picks a really shady spot so it's highish ISO and slow shutter speeds. Hopefully in a week or so there will be some newly fledged Azure's that I can get some shots of, though once they are out of the nest it's likely I'll no longer have a reliable perch that they keep coming back to.

Wonderful set. How lucky are you to be able to see and photograph this beautiful bird? And all of us to be able to get to see it through your posts?
Here's hoping you'll be seeing and photographing the fledglings when they emerge.
All of them so good, but my favourite is #5.
