As I walked past the 'Oude Kerk' (THE Old Church), I noticed that the sun was in the right position.
So I walked in. There was an exhibition, nothing serious. But the light WAS right #1 #2 #3 #4 #5 TFL All photos with Sony ILCE-6700 10-18mm F2.8 DC DN | Contemporary 023 |

Thanks, Michele.
It’s Amsterdam’s Old Church (build in 13th century. I always wonder how they did that) Edited by Dopol - 04 December 2024 at 06:39 |

Beautiful to see in this golden light.
Amazing brass candelabra in #2. Is this still a consecrated and functioning church? TFS. |

Thanks, Joe.
It is a large building, the center of which is still used as church. The building is also functions as a place for exhibitions of contemporary art (one of the Dutch 100 largest Musea) |

The very early morning or very late afternoon low pinching light offered these dramatic long shadows - beautiful in this setting especially and great that you were alert to this. The lone person in #4 adds a a very nice element - beautiful.
