As I walked past the 'Oude Kerk' (THE Old Church), I noticed that the sun was in the right position.
So I walked in. There was an exhibition, nothing serious.
But the light WAS right

Thanks, Michele.
It’s Amsterdam’s Old Church (build in 13th century. I always wonder how they did that)

Beautiful to see in this golden light.
Amazing brass candelabra in #2.
Is this still a consecrated and functioning church?

Thanks, Joe.
It is a large building, the center of which is still used as church.
The building is also functions as a place for exhibitions of contemporary art (one of the Dutch 100 largest Musea)

The very early morning or very late afternoon low pinching light offered these dramatic long shadows - beautiful in this setting especially and great that you were alert to this. The lone person in #4 adds a a very nice element - beautiful.
