Hello,
I need to get rid of some A mount gear since I switched to E mount. A99 and lenses. Difficult to sell where I live. I want to take the opportunity of a trip to NYC to sell this. Is there a better place than BH or adorama ? Yann |

Adorama maybe best.
In Manhattan there is 42photo, he used to buy equipment but I haven't heard for years. Focus Camera is in Brooklyn and buys used, via mail also. For mail selling there's keh.com, not the best prices but the best service. Also there are some new services, swappa.com and mpb.com - mpb is a European company recently in the US. |

Just going by what I've read over the years 42photo is long since gone and has only an online store nowadays, one with a very shoddy reputation if you go by the amount of complaints they get.

Regret I have no experience of New York but I can vouch for MPB as I have swopped virtually all my A mount to E mount and then upgraded and refined my kit with them in the UK. I have nothing but praise for their service, communication and prices. They even upgraded the condition of my Zeiss Batis lenses and paid more than first quoted!
BTW, other than as a satisfied customer I have no connection with MPB. Good luck with your mission. |

I recently had estimates from the above-mentioned online companies. I was offered $100 for both an A700 with Sony grip and 7D with KM grip. Everything included with both as they came new including all original boxes etc. The $100 for both was pending inspection. I wound up selling the 7D for $200 on FB Marketplace and the A700 for $275 on Ebay. I was very hesitant to sell anything but lack of use (not a collector) and need for E mount lenses has prompted me to get rid of unnecessary equipment.
