Today I decided to head to the other side of Helsinki, namely Meilahti Arboretum as I had noticed there might be some birds I would like to photograph. And eventually I did find the species I went looking for:

1. Hawfinch (Coccothraustes coccothraustes)

α1 + Sony FE 5.6-6.3/200-600 G OSS @ 600 mm, f/6.3, 1/1600 s, ISO 1600

2. Hawfinch (Coccothraustes coccothraustes)

α1 + Sony FE 5.6-6.3/200-600 G OSS @ 600 mm, f/6.3, 1/1600 s, ISO 1600

But I did see also few other birds:

3. Bullfinch (Pyrrhula pyrrhula)

α1 + Sony FE 5.6-6.3/200-600 G OSS @ 600 mm, f/6.3, 1/1600 s, ISO 640

4. Young greenfinch (Chloris chloris)

α1 + Sony FE 5.6-6.3/200-600 G OSS @ 600 mm, f/6.3, 1/1600 s, ISO 1600

And of course, some fairly friendly tits: great tits (Parus major and Eurasian blue tits (Cyanistes caeruleus).

5. "Where is the seeds/nuts?!?"

α1 + Sony FE 5.6-6.3/200-600 G OSS @ 600 mm, f/6.3, 1/1600 s, ISO 10000

6. Great tits inspecting the lens of a fellow bird photographer

α1 + Sony FE 5.6-6.3/200-600 G OSS @ 600 mm, f/6.3, 1/1600 s, ISO 10000

7. Closer than the minimul focusing distance

α1 + Sony FE 5.6-6.3/200-600 G OSS @ 600 mm, f/6.3, 1/1600 s, ISO 8000
