Thank you. Some of that is due to Darktable which I really like for PP. In particular I can completely blitz noise in backgrounds using drawn and/or parametric masks. The parametric masks in particular are a great feature. I think subjective clarity is enhanced by really stomping on noticeable noise.

I've been pleased with some of my shots recently. I might be improving or alternatively just getting lucky . There certainly is a learning curve for birds. Just finding good locations is time consuming.

I'm heading to Lamington National Park on Sunday. That should mean more colourful birds. At the least parrots as you can feed the birds at O'Reilly's and there is always plenty of parrots. Of course in the national park proper, feeding any animal is rightfully banned.

Wasn't sure if I should post this shot here as it could probably go in a few different threads, but it is of a bird even if he is retreating

Also this was taken with the Tamron 90mm which I rarely use for landscape or bird photography but was the only lens I had on me apart from the CZ16-35mm.
