Live birds are not my usual subject, but I used a day out in the park to test the Sigma 70-200mm f2,8 post calibration.

3 shots from a morning walk today, one a first sighting for me.

Dollarbird

Red-whiskered Bulbul

Eastern Whipbird, rarely get these ones out in the open.

Nice shots of the whipbird. I've never been able to get any sort of shot of a whipbird. Only some glimpses in thick scrub. One thing for sure, the call is both remarkable and unmistakeable.

Cheers Craig.
Think there might be a nest nearby as this guy kept hunting right infront of me for the better part of an hour and repeatedly flew back into the same thicket of scrub as soon as he caught something. Got very loud in there whenever he returned.
Got home with better part of a hundred shots of him but with these guys there's always something blocking a clean shot!
