Angora: I think she is the talk of the town now. Same thing happened to me a few days ago innocently photographing a squirrel. Pics upon request.

Centropus phasianinus; Pheasant coucal. Unlike other Australian cuckoos, this species makes it's own nest rather than laying eggs in someone else's.

Angora: I will post under "Squirrels" this evening (EST) after work. Hope Squirrel people have a sense of humor as I have never posted there before. I will give a warning!

(as said in the squirrels thread- what I was actually referring to was not the 'making of the eggs' -quite a collection of those, since I find spring time actions i.e. all of the chases and fights interesting-, but a male duck 'strutting his stuff', letting it all hang out eh literally. really, really hesitant to post. on the other hand, rarely seen. (searched for google pics to see if others captured 'stuff' like that all the time. on p.word hardly any matches, a few hits for 'duck + genitals'). posted that because it seems to be rare? ;-) ).

Angora: Your Posh Duck is better than an oil painting. Love it. Cute little nestling too. Still like your mallard. He sure was "Proud as a Peacock."
