Some experiments with A9/SEL100400G
Amazingly sharp, but the birds were too far.
But I'll go back, and use 1/2000 in stead of 1/500 and F/8

1 Curlews (I normally see one, there were about a hundred of them)

2 Godwits mainly

3 gull

4 godwit belly (flying up cause a buzzard passes by)

5 godwit front

6 godwit landing (cause the buzzard is gone)

8 the lens keeps focus perfectly
Be yourself; everyone else is already taken

you can say that again!! a-ma-zing!!!
think gear matters?

(don't think you'll ever need anything faster than say 1/1400s the most btw? but, as always, I could be so wrong).

Always enjoy a good portrait session so when the birds are accommodating I'm not one to pass it up.

Cheers mate.

Not often I get a chance for 2 walks in the same week but with the wife doing a morning shift today I grabbed the camera and went for it.

I don't often take pictures of birds, but when I practically tripped over this guy leaving my flat on Sunday morning, and he waited for me to go back in and get my camera, I thought it would be rude not to take his portrait!
