Nice! Looks like it might be coming into breeding colours.

Quiet walk down my local reserve this morning had mostly the usual regulars show up.

Green Heron Hatchling.
I had been watching another Green Heron nest of three eggs for a few days when a pair of Tricolored Herons ran the parents off the nest, ate the eggs and destroyed the nest. Hope we have better luck here.
