A Great Blue Heron catches a snake. I only got a couple shots in before he took off with the snake and landed too far away.

Good catch

Did your A9 come back among the living?

Unfortunately not.
It is a total loss, as are the 28mm and the 85mm.
The 35mm was unharmed and will be returned.
The 55m is questionable. Repair is costly but cheaper than a new one.
So, I bought myself a new(ish) A9 and wait for the insurance to pay it back.

First shots out of the new A99ii and my trusty Sigma 150-500 OS HSM, no MFA yet but seem to be rather spot on when I get the new to me AF system to play along.
