Nighthawk. Found this guy resting on a rusty gate out in the sugar cane fields.

Barn Owl. I found a copse of trees out in the glades that is loaded with owls. The adults fly fast and low and all I could get was outbound birds. I did find this young owl sleeping.

Sanderling. After a heavy rain, many birds collect in flooded fields.

Same as above.

Sometimes we go out hoping to get a shot of a pretty bird but it does not always happen. Fortunately, the action was great!

Looking forward to the 'real' shots

Biking around I saw this kestrel, that I was able to shoot, cause I did have the 'good gear' with me

Beautiful Domien!
I hope to get back there soon for the 'real shots' of the spoonbills
