Anthus pratensis (Meadow pipit) by Hans Krabbendam, on Flickr
I finally took my old minolta 400mm f4.5 on the a77 II into the field again and was surprised with the results. I like the colours and the sharpness. A little bit of a crop and sharpening in GIMP. |

Here I was playing with my wife's RX10 mark IV. An incredible camera, very fast AF, very sharp and, f4 so enough light and easy to carry for a long time. |

Falco tinnunculus (Kestrel) by Hans Krabbendam, on Flickr
Here a result from my "new" second hand lens. In my search for more reach I bought a Tamron 150-600mm G2. I was seriously in doubt of going to E mount, for example the A6600 and the 200-600mm or leaving Sony for the Olympus OM-D E-M1 III and the 100-400mm. But the prices spooked me and made me stay to A mount for the time being. I am now in getting to know my equipment better. The first results of the Tamron were bad, but after a serious AF adjustment (-12) I am quite pleased. |

Good series Hans. I always had good luck with the Minolta 400mm F4.5 too. I think I will break it back out.

That's a nice one Ton, I find these difficult to find and once you see these shy buddies, they keep distance. |
