Some of a mixed flock of Gallahs and their cousins the Corellas at Banule nature reserve Melbourne, picking the runner roots of cooch grass out of the ground for a feed, apparently a source of starch and sugars.

And right across the street from home, Rainbow Lorikeets have paired and keep coming back to their hollow in a street Plane Tree each year to nest and raise their hatchlings.
