I have a front lighted photo that is better, but I like the way the backlight highlights the "horns" - there are still some white feathers on the chest so I don't think it has fully moulted.

That snail kite is a beautiful catch Robert and the kid egrets so "beautiful" that probably only a mother can love them

Pieter: That Minolta 200mm is still spot on sharp. One of my favorites.
Great Egrets should start getting more beautiful over the next few weeks.
