The grey-backed Bird ...

The ones I saw were familiar to me, but this one doesn't ring a bell. Where did you see it?

Yep, that one was found by my Merlin-app as well. But there was no big resemblance to me.

thx Marius and Harm.
It is a subalpine Warbler.
I found the bird somewhere in the North of Spain.
My bird-recognizer didn't recognize it (or kept it secret, because I didn't load all birds on my phone)

Black-crowned Night Heron, juvenile (Nycticorax nycticorax) 2
by Hans Krabbendam, on Flickr
On our weekly bicycle tour we found this juvenile Black-crowned Night Heron standing in a waterpond. I managed to take my wifes Sony RX10 before she noticed it.
Cropped and sharpened in Gimp (Sony RX10 IV, 1/1250 sec, f5.6, ISO 400).

Hi Hans, I mistakenly read "wives" above and wondered about the number

Nice light on the heron.

Cheers... Brian

A Muscovy Duck, a new visitor to my local lake. I always thought they were a tropical duck having seen them many times in Queensland but never this far south before.
