Thanks, Charles, Paul.
It was a once-in-a-lifetime event to shoot a lammergier ( I think). Robert, these are unique shots. And I like that you follow several nests. Somehow the skies behind your bald eagles are a little mushy as if there is a lot of color noise. |

Juvenile Bald Eagle probably 2 or 3 years old.
![]() a6600, 200-600 G, 1/4000, F7.1, 600mm ![]() F6.3 Bald Eagle. 2 of the five nests I am monitoring are incubating eggs. This guy at the University of Florida Agriculture Research location helped to successfully raised to eaglets last year but has yet to settle down this year. ![]() 1/2000, F8 |

Beautiful work with the vulture, I like the processing on 1, but the poses on 2 and especially 3 are fantastic.
If the third were my photo I would be tempted to rotate and crop to get rid of the background so it's all feathers and face. I've never seen a babbler, cute little bugger. |

There is a difference between a shaky or out-of-focus photograph and a snapshot of clouds and fog banks. - Schrödinger

Beautiful babbler. Never heard of them, let alone see one.
Too bad your outings didn't deliver 'stuff' I have an unusual bird I shot this summer. It's a Lammergier or Bearded Vulture ![]() It has drastic food habits ![]() It's swallowing a complete goat's leg here. It has stomach acid with a pH of 1.0, enough to dissolve the goat's leg And off with the next bone ![]() All with ILCE-1 100400GM +1.4X Edited by Dopol - 03 January 2023 at 20:16 |

I went out birding for the past fortnight. There's not much to see these days.
![]() I will process and post some shots from the summer. I will avoid reposting the same image. Arrow-marked babbler ![]() |

This pair of Bald Eagles stay together all year but have not incubated eggs in three years. I feel this may be the year.
