Today's birds on Governors Island.

#1 Red-winged blackbird


#2 Hermit thrush


#3 Norhern cardinal


#4 American robin


#5 Killdeer


#6 It turned out that the bird was guarding the nest with eggs.

Great stuff guys!

I went for a walk in the dunes this morning, in an area that's called Vogelduin ('Bird dune'). I can see why now

1. Nuthatch taking off



2. Great tit



3. Great spotted woodpecker (I think)


4. Buzzard



5. Bluethroad (first capture )


6. Dunnock


7. Stonechat


8. Another dunnock


9. And anothert stonechat


10. And one more nuthatch



All with A99ii + 70-400G

@Fred_S: nice domestic series indeed, was there a lot of cropping involved or were you able to get so close with your 400mm?
@Jozioau: beautiful birds and scenery, allthough these birds can only fly under water
@SnowFella: top notch series, especially the yellow robin

Thanks Pieter! I have to practice my ninja skills, so for this set some seriosi croppimg was needed.
