It's a common buzzard. It ended in a fight. My shutter time was too slow for that. But this one came out nicely. |

Autumn is here

@mambo Your Dunlin looks a bit different from ours in the UK (I understand there are variations in subspecies) - much more like our Sanderling. Lovely shots. Small waders are my amongst my favourite winter subjects.

I admit that I did not do a lot of research and took the advice of expert birders that were with us. One thing to remember is that this is non-breeding plummage. Dunlins look different in spring. E-bird has examples of the non-breeding plummage here |
