After seeing them (without my camera) and hearing them on numerous occasions, I have finally captured them: 1. Pileated Woodpecker #1  2. Pileated Woodpecker #2  3. Pileated Woodpecker #3  4. Pileated Woodpecker #4  all with A7R4 + SEL100400GM & Topaz Photo

@ bms44974I. I would have been very proud/glad having taken a shot of the pileated woodpecker. For a long time I have been trying to shoot its ‘ nephew’ the black woodpecker. I heard it, saw it flying, but wasn’t able to photograph it. So I understand your joy. Nice shots, showing the birds colors and all. TFS

@VictorV as so often a (to me) new bird is presented in this thread . Lovely white-cheeked starling. It is as if you have messed with white paint on a ‘regular’ starling TFS
