Lots of Purple Swamp Hens around a lake on a vineyard in the Yarra Valley out of Melbourne that we visited today.

Thanks for comments about those Purple Swamp Hens and chicks taken with my 'new' a1.
Their walking pace was just what was needed for me with my training wheels on. I look forward to shooting quick moving birds in flight at high shutter rates, but that's what I will need to graduate towards. The prospect of trawling through all those frames to pick a decisive image or two feels a bit daunting. But no doubt worth the trouble. |
