Or a buzzard up close at all! Very shy birds they are. So a great catch!

I would be perfectly happy shooting a scene like this Domien.
Great capture!

Wonderful shot Domien.
And yet another swallow but I think the rocky background gives a better sense of speed than just over water?

The lack of sharpness does not jump out to my eye, but that darn tree stump on the left side steals some attention from the birds.

ObBirdInFlight: Young white-tailed eagle (Haliaeetus albicilla)

α7R IV + Sony FE 5.6-6.3/200-600 G OSS + 1.4× TC @ 840 mm, f/9, 1/1600 s, ISO 800

And in case somebody wonders why the name of species is white-tailed eagle and this one does not really have a white tail, this is because only adult birds have those white tail feathers.

Ps. And this photo was taken yesterday on the return voyage from Jurmo, where I spent four nights on a birding trip. I'll post a trip report to Open Views when I get my pictures sorted out.

Very nice. I like BW.
There is movement in the wings, but the eye is sharp. Great capture. Very hard to push the button on the right moment.
Gabriele likes it too!!!

The second one is a tad dark, but we could look to it as a silhouette. The first one looks very good, TFS Charles
