It has been an awful long time ago since I posted here.
The reason for this is that the aps-c section somehow died a long time ago. I never wanted to switch to full frame since it was too expensive and too heavy. Teacher are not poor but neither extremely well paid. Yesterday, the A6700 was introduced and somehow I was utterly unimpressed by this camera. I decided that aps-c was finished for me and sold all my aps-c stuff (a6400 and about 7 lenses) and also my RX100VA. The RX100VA wasn't used anymore since I bought the Pixel 7 Pro which also shoots dng and the quality difference after editing was minor, if not sometimes trumped by the Pixel 7 Pro. They were interested in alle Sony E stuff but the much older lenses for the A77 were a no go. That stuff is beyond dead. They paid me 1340€ for my and I bought an A7mk3 and the Sony 24-105/f4. Although I quite liked the results from the A6400 and the Sony 16-70 which was my main lense, the shooting experience itself was always somewhat lacklustre due to the fiddly body. On the A7, there are buttons for everything and the whole experience is a lot better. |

Wish you lots of pleasure with the new gear!
Maybe a LA-EA5 or so will give an extended lifetime to your A-mount-lenses? |

I have an adapter for the A mount lenses but I hardly ever use it. |

Whatever, enjoy your new camera and share some pictures with us. ps. the LA-EA5 only works with SSM/SAM lenses on the A7m3, you'll need an A7r4 or newer for screw-drive support. |

I have an a7R III. I don't know if the A7 III is the same way, but since I shoot a lot of very close up macro, I mostly use the camera in APS-C mode, which crops the image in camera. I often crop in post after that, since many of the critters I photograph are tiny.
