Cydalima perspectalis (buxusmot in Dutch)
Caught on the inside of our kitchen window ![]() A99ii + 70-400G Not a friend of many people, since the caterpillar of this species destroys all buxus plants. If anyone thinks: "That sky looks familiar", well it's my first attemp with a standard sample of the sky replacement tool in Luminar 4, trying to improve the boring sky (and hide the dirty window ![]() |

very pretty, Fred!
and a very clean window! ![]() does it work well, that tool? bombarded with offers to buy Luminar, On1 and so on, but obv. bought Luminar 2018 as part of that year's 5DayDeal. (speaking of... skies -and obv. into all kinds of glowing phenomena- just saw a 'lighting night cloud' aka noctilucent cloud. and guess what? (I saw after I grabbed a camera?) ![]() speaking of ...caterpillars? ![]() ![]() ![]() they multiply! ![]() look once and you'll see none. look again and you'll see thousands... ![]() juvenile box-tree moth Edited by angora - 29 June 2020 at 23:44 |

Thanks Ine! The tool works very well and easy. Just recently grabbbed an offer combined with a coupnon code. Couldn't let it go for that price. Lucky you with the noctilucent clouds! Managed to capture them last year. last year remember? I haven't seen the caterpillars here yet. They look nice, but a petty they are so destructive on the buxuses |

Today this poor creature was stuck in a spider web in our garden
![]() You could see the fear in its eyes ![]() So I freed it from the web and in return it agreed to pose for me on the garden table ![]() It even let me get a bit closer for a headshot ![]() After a short while it flew away, waving with its wings to thank me again ![]() All A700 + Min 100/2.8 macro D |
