I like her facial expression Brian. I think that much tighter composition would work great. And also lower angle as well.

Thank you Svjetlana for your thoughts. I actually had originally done just that: a much tighter composition with a square crop that I kept for several weeks before going back to the original because I felt like I was missing the mood of the location. But it's a difficult balance to decide upon because the surroundings themselves, while very familiar to me, are perhaps not as photogenic as one would like them to be. But I think part of the problem may have been the square crop. Here's another very cropped version but keeping the 3:2 aspect ratio. I think I like this now as well.

I think this works much better for me. This image is about a girl's look. Anything that takes attention away from the look is distraction like in this case train's seat etc.
