The Valkentoren (Falcon tower) of the castle of Schoten. A 16th century part of the defense structure around the castle. The only remain of the defense as all other parts (except the castle itself) were demolished in the 18th century.

Blickling Hall, Norfolk. Not exactly a castle, but definitely an old building.

More recent pictures and closer to home.
A few old town halls from a few villages, half an hour from home.
All three from the 17th century.

The Quaker Meeting House in St Helens. Although the date on the sun dial says 1753 the building is thought to be older having been converted from a domestic house in the late 16th or early 17th century. It is grade II listed. It was modernised in 1965/6 by the addition of a modern extension to the rear.
