From the Gaudy to the sophisticated! There must be the worst taste in Christmas there somewhere, and there must be the most sophisticated?

Dennis/EP1121,

Both pretty sophisticated and impressive shots.

I hope to take some ot the more "tacky" ones locally... just blazing unco-ordinted front garden lights.

Thanks for sharing.

Christmas decorations in Hotel Keizerskroon (= Emperor's Crown) in Apeldoorn NL, all taken with Dynax7d, Sigma 105mm Macro, f/8, 1/60s ISO200, external flash:

Are these gaudy or sophisticated?

These belong in the gaudy category i believe....

1

the dutch text means: "temporary staff wanted - apply within for qualifications needed"

2

"kerstgevoel" = "the spirit of christmas"

Both images are from the shopwindow of a shop with goods intended for "adult entertaiment", the staff required is also meant to "entertain".

Hope i do not hurt somebody's feelings about Christmas - i did not mean to do so. If i did, my sincere apologies.

Romke

Glad ro see some Gaudy.... that's what Christmas is all about, we have tacky Santa Claus, battery operated Carol playing from China or Japan, love it, but also love the sophisticated shots posted here!
