Charleston, South Carolina, or Charles Town as it was once called, is one of the oldest cities in the United states. I am a transplant from the north who moved here and fell in love with the city. The city maintains its local "color" by keeping with the old architecture, minimizing repairs, and basically celebrating the shabby-chic atmosphere of this historic city. I rarely take pictures with a wide view of the city itself, but instead prefer to capture the people, windows, doorways, flowers, and iron work that is so prevalent throughout the city.

@Miwok: great "points" for you. You can show her this thread of her hometown "just" for her enjoyment and because it is her hometown and she will see your comment "accidentally". Then you can reclaim your points "non-intentionally".
