Great shots! I hope you and yours are keeping safe these next couple of days.

Thanks, Basil. Charlotte is in the path of Florence but only some outer bands of the storm will hit us. We're pretty far inland so it's more of storm or a depression than a hurricane by the time it hits us.
Expecting some rain and strong winds with some damage but nothing too serious, hopefully. |

A small park very close to where I live has a set of three bull sculptures in metal.
The more I spent time examining them, the more I admired the craftsmanship. A99 plus MAF 28-135 |

The first one is a perfect composition (and the grass is a bit greener thani n the others!)! I get the impression of a bulls' ZEN garden!
TFS! |

I took a walk around the southern end of uptown Charlotte. Since it's the uptown area, I came back with a lot of building pics.
A99 plus MAF 28-135. All sorts of freehand aspect ratios. Processing with Darktable. C&C always welcome and appreciated. 1. Break from work. 2. Building 1100. 3. Residential windows. 4. Power hungry. 5. A very busy image. 6. Art on the wall. 7. Tavern on the tracks. Trying a square crop for a door! 8. The Gin Mill. A nod to Charlotte's past as a textile power house. 10. Metro tracks. Called CATS - Charlotte Area Transit System. 11. Hot Taco! 12. Locally called the pink building. One could make an argument in favor of purple/lavender/mauve/but not violet! 13. B-E-E-R!! 14. Hot Taco. Side entrance. 15. Building with a hole. 16. Recessed buildings. Architects have imaginations! :) 17. Under construction. (Top right windows not yet built). 18. Nice facade. 19. Lucky's bar and arcade (or the headless lamp). 20. Boring shot. 21. Windows (hopefully not so boring shot). Edited by skm.sa100 - 16 October 2018 at 14:08 |

Apologies for that and thanks for pointing it out.
I've updated the last two shots so they work. Regards Sashi |

Flown into Charlotte a few times, but never made it into the city. Looks like I've missed a lot of photo opportunities- this is a great collection.

Re-posting separately. Google photos has been giving me grief recently at odd spots.

Let me know if you can spare time next time you're in town. Will be happy to buy you a cold one (or two) and some hot food at hot taco. -Sashi |
