Photos taken on my recent visit to Girona, a beautiful Medieval city on the river Onyar. Famous for some as the site for various "Game of Thrones" locations.
This selection is from a wider set viewable in the Spain album on my FlickrPro site.

All a99ii with either CZ 16-35mm or CZ 24-70mm Vario-Sonnars. C&C most welcome.

2. Everywhere in Catalunya you see yellow ribbons campaigning for release of political prisoners associated with the independence movement, as well as the independence flag, the yellow and red horizontal stripes of the Regional flag with a single white star on a blue triangular field on the mast-side edge.

19. The widest Gothic nave ever built - effectively the whole width of the cathedral is the nave without the usual column supported aisles either side of it. Would have been an immense structural challenge for the architects and stonemasons of the day.
