I've just had 3 days in Hanoi - one of favourite cities. I couldn't believe there wasn't a topic for it so I've started one.

Here are my favourite shots from the weekend. All taken in the old quarter (in Hoan Kiem district of Hanoi).

#1 Vietnamese Opera performer back stage (ie in doorway around the corner) before street concert. I've shot similar things before & the great thing is they are always very happy to be photographed.

#2 Peddler. This was an exercise in cropping uncomfortably close - prompted by something I was reading. Not sure about it...

#3 Old French colonial residence in Hanoi

#4 Rising Sun Bridge on Hoan Kiem Lake, Hanoi. Do the colours remind anyone else of a watermelon?

#5 Hanoi street

C&C always welcome...
