Show us... Kyoto, Japan

Show us cities of the world is your chance to show us where you live, or where you've been. Please feel free to share pictures from this location, or start a thread for a new location. The usual Dyxum content rules apply- but to assist fellow Dyxumers inspired to visit locations that are shown, please indicate where in your town/city the photos were taken.

This thread is open for C&C and for posting additional pictures. Please ONLY post pictures taken at the town or city indicated- or start a new thread.

If you wish to start a new location thread- please click 'quote' to this opening post, and copy the contents as opening text to your new thread 'show us place-name. Also post a message to the link at start of text- where I can add your location to a master list of hyperlinked locations.

Adding to my Open Views post from Matsumoto and Nagano, and my contribution to Themed Views Cities: Tokyo, Japan, here are photos taken in Kyoto, the remarkably preserved former Imperial Capital of Japan, noted for its traditional architecture and lifestyle, its Geisha schools, traditional Ryokan guest houses, and temples.
All a700, CZ 16-80mm Vario-Sonar, Minolta 80-200mm HS APO G, and Minolta 50mm f1.4.
