And some more on a second day happily walking and snapping.
All a99ii with either CZ16-35 or CZ24-70 Vario-Sonnar lenses. 5. Firstly at the Francoise Mitterand library (Biblioteque National du France or BnF) in Bercy. Looking very crisp and clean and peaceful on this public holiday, and featuring four tower blocks symbolising standing open books, and a sunken urban forest. ![]() 6. ![]() 7. ![]() 8. ![]() 9. ![]() 10. ![]() 11. ![]() 12. ![]() 13. ![]() Edited by Jozioau - 23 May 2018 at 18:04 |

Across the Seine from the BnF, is Parc du Bercy, also created by Mitterand from what had once been a large complex including vineyards and a commercial wine distribution centre.

Short metro ride to Gare de Lyon with its giant clock. ![]() 18. Small canal with boat moorings, Basin de l'Arsenal, Port de Plaisance. ![]() 19. ![]() 20. Right next to Place de la Bastille. ![]() |

Nice series of happy snaps Joe. For me a mixture of pictures bringing back some very old memories from my youth (like ## 17 and 20) and views of some less familiar parts of the city I haven't seen before (like #30)
TFS! |

Some of these images look like being taken in a small town!
My favorites are the images of the Mitterand library and the restaurant "candids" - like #21 and #29. A diverse and amazing collection! Thank you, Joe! |

Great exposures Fred! Mixture of blue and orange light is great, as well as clarity.

A great set, Fred! Can anyone rock up to floor 59 of the Montparnasse Tower at dusk, or do you have to be a guest of a hotel?

Thanks Howard! Anyone can go up after buying a ticket. You can buy 'day and night' ticket to go up twice, but if you but a day ticket just before dawn, you need only one and stay a bit longer (which is cheaper). You go up to the 56th with an elevator and you can go up further to the open 59th deck by climbing some stairs. |

Marvelous series, Fred!
The night shots from the Montparnasse Tower are really special (but I love the chairs, too) - but all the other images are as well impressive. I have two personal favorites - both of which are somehow against the grain: #16 and #19 - very unusual takes, but brilliant! TFS! ![]() ![]() |
