How nice! I only "know" Salzburg from passing by on our way to Ramsau-am-Dachstein.
Winter! That's the season to be young, catching snowflakes on your tongue!

I was there once long ago. A friend and I were in a unit that had received MWR (Moral, Welfare & Recreation) allocation to stay at the Eagle's Nest and to visit other areas. We ventured out from our group and visited this city. Very lovely place, nice people, food & schnapps.
