The housing estates are in-fill but the island also has a habit of constantly expanding due to reclamation - to the consternation of our (increasingly close) neighbours.

Regarding #4: this is inside the Buddha Tooth Relic temple, where there are about a hundred of these Buddhas, with slight alterations, e.g. this one has a musical instrument in his hands. And I tried to give it a 'glow' during postprocessing.
#8: I forgot to mention: this is also a long exposure (30 seconds I guess), which gives the clouds something special.
