Some pics of a recent trip to Singapore (to attend the wedding of a friend of mine)
#1  #2: old and new  #3  #4  #5: it was almost Chinese new year when I was there, so a lot of decoration  #6: cleaning the street after a busy day  #7: Buddha tooth relic temple  #8: marina bay sands hotel  #9: gardens at the bay, just after sunset  #10: this is located at the entrance of Parkview Square, a beautiful (neo) art deco building  #11: metro approaching warp speed   #12  All A7R, plus either 24-70FE or Mitakon 50mm f0.95 (at 0.95).  I particularly enjoyed the street shots & #8. There's also something quite arresting about #4.
The housing estates are in-fill but the island also has a habit of constantly expanding due to reclamation - to the consternation of our (increasingly close) neighbours. |

Thanks!  Regarding #4: this is inside the Buddha Tooth Relic temple, where there are about a hundred of these Buddhas, with slight alterations, e.g. this one has a musical instrument in his hands. And I tried to give it a 'glow' during postprocessing. #8: I forgot to mention: this is also a long exposure (30 seconds I guess), which gives the clouds something special. Eddy |
