Heya people, was wondering if there are enough people here who are coffee fans :)
Was also thinking if I should dust my Minolta/Sony gears and shoot coffee/espresso as theme :P

Sometimes, just the thought of a cup of coffee will compel me to get up, and I'm not a morning person! I think a coffee/espresso theme would be great.

Hmmm, there's a thought. I usually look at Dyxum over a cup of coffee anyway, but it's generally instant.

Great idea - to start the ball rolling:

Ah; I have been a user of an Aeropress for a while now; I don't often drink coffee from ground beans but the Aeropress is a great little device for getting a reasonably good cup of coffee from almost any grade of bean. If you only need one cup (and don't have the room - or the money - for an Espresso machine), it's a reasonable alternative for a long cup of coffee!

Thanks for starting the thread and, perhaps, it might get me 'back into' proper coffee again!

Best regards, Neil.

I tried to comment on instant coffee, but Dyxum won't let me.

Life is too short to think about , let alone drinking .

@owenn01, same insight here but I didn't get the aeropress due to the 'size'. I instead went for the Cafflano Kompresso which I think does a great job on making a 9bar espresso - we tried to test it with the weighing scale :D My friend lend me the aeropress and it's really a very versatile tool which can make 'strong coffee' (almost espresso I think). You may want to use it again - ever heard of the coffee brewing dice?

@aao, I wonder what's wrong with 'instant coffee'

To go back to the original post: A "themed views" thread on the topic is overdue, I think! Why not start here? The coffee/espresso talk could be the bonus.

Are there any "strictly 25 seconds" people here?

I agree..I alternate between an Aero and a Bialetti Mocka express that produces precisely one ancient coffee cup of coffee, ray of sun against slightly translucent porcelain.. and say Neil, do you use the Aero the alternative way? (upside down). Seems a bit silly perhaps but I think it really does make a difference for the taste.

As for a topic, good idea, especially as my brother has recently dusted off his Andreja..he has also backed the Robot kickstarter, it'll be interesting to try its produce.

A coffee picture thread should be in the themed views subforum - I guess a mod could move this thread to the right place? And add it to the index?

I use a Melitta Caffeo Solo for my home caffeine boost. But this was at coffee place in Reykjavik:

No need to move this thread, instead simply feel free to post your pictures in here
