Framing with 12mm lens is only tricky on getting the horizon straight. Rest can be cropped ![]() My bicycle indeed has a electric assistance motor; so called speed-pedelec. In the Netherlands any bike that has engine-assist reaching over 25km/h, with a max of 45km/h, needs to be registered & insured. By law speed pedelec is seen as a moped and there for its driver needs a licence to drive it and comply to certain traffic rules. One of them is that the bike has to have a rearview mirror, which is actualy very handy ![]() |

@ons - that you can balance on two-wheels, one-handed, and compose a photo must be something in your DNA
My mother has always questioned why nobody on a bike in the UK has mirrors, I've always said that you're so much more aware of your surrounds on a bike and the glance over the shoulder and the sound is all part of being on a bike. That said, with electric cars now being whisper quiet (plus the numerous speedy scooters we have here on the road and pavement) ... I think I need mirrors just while walking now!
^^ glad you put 'fisheye' in the notes on 'Day 5'. I was looking at it wondering if you'd shot it through a door fisheye lens. Your fish seems to have put a ring around the photo (I'm thinking APS fish on FF sensor?)
^^ that is a cracking shot! I'm gonna be super duper picky - which I'm sure with your talent you can accept as just observer thoughts - I love the clean composition but perhaps it needs something to the top/right of the frame? Also perhaps a brown egg? But I also get that the white egg vs ball might have been the decision making there?
^^ that now looks surprizingly small! For some reason I pictured this to be like the size of a double-decked bus It looks 1/5th that size now ... wondering what Day 7 will show now |

Walk out if it doesn't feel right
I can tell you're only lying If you've got something better tonight Then don't mess up my mind with your crying Just Walk Out In The Rain Eric Clapton, 1978 |

For context on my Day 6 entry, my RD-175 is rehabilitated. I fixed my underlying problem, which turned out to be a faulty CF card. I can now take photos at will and in my Photo 150 challenge part 3 (vintage digital) I can feed stuff through taken with the camera. Phew.

Day 5 comments
LAbernethy - Clever arrangement of subject and lighting. onsplekkie - Impressive wrangling to take this. I love the impression of speed from the streaks on the road surface. Phil Wood - I can see a form emerging.... addy landzaat - I like the overall cool, sombre tones of this shot alanfrombangor - Great use of abstraction here. I really like the variety in your set over the week. Fred_S - No disappointment, variety and surprise always good! pegelli - Lots of colour here. What I find amazing is you have all these handy! Howard_S - Seeing it whole now lets me appreciate the beautiful texture of the object, captured well here. dCap - Interesting view, lots of detail and I like the b&W conversion. |

The head is only about 4ft high (if I remember I'll take a tape measure tomorrow) - a long way from a double-decker. Day 4 was a 12mm shot, only the camera was inside the head. As for Day 7 - not long to wait to find out. |

It's the Lensbaby 12mm fisheye, which indeed creates a ring on FF. My Day 6 is with same combo, but in APS mode. Somehow that has a ring too . ![]() Edited by Fred_S - 06 February 2021 at 20:23 |

I'm gonna have to get creative tomorrow as my shot list is now kinda empty! I have one half idea, which I've eye-balled, and is gonna be difficult and probably look terrible - I think my Day 7 is gonna be worse than my lazy Day 1 (but I will know that I put more effort in). aka - getting excuses in early. |

Some great images shared by all throughout the week. Surely some will make it to the weekly exhibition ![]() |
