Pigeon in Aries
MDi Tele Rokkor-X 135/2.8 at f2.8 on tilt adapter 1/500 iso12800, a7c The Grand Central Terminal ceiling. The Fly is supposedly an ancient zodiac reference, but in ancient drawings it had 2 wings, the 4 wings is a modern addition. With the tilt adapter at max tilt, the focal plane is sort of straight out from the camera, which makes it easier to focus; I could focus on the pigeon perched far away, and as long as I kept the pigeon in the exact center (it's off center here), I could use f2.8 even though the DOF for 135mm f2.8 is very thin, although in the "infinity" tilt direction the focus is at infinity for maximum Depth Of Focus. So I was only at ISO 12k instead of 52k ! DxO "Deep Prime XD" (TM) noise reduction, which I have to say is awesome. I used a Minolta7D preset from the DxOFilmPack and adjusted it, that's why it's not completely washed out. |

When in doubt, put the cat to use as a model
A7RIV, Minolta MD Rokkor-X 50/1.4 @ f/1.4, ISO 8000, 1/125s, rotated & heavily cropped Edit: this is also a B&W conversion (the cat is a grey Chartreux, on a grey couch, but I was getting a brown color cast) Edited by alpha_in_exile - 04 March 2023 at 16:03 |
