This is the training centre aka Outtakes thread of Day Prime 2018.
Maybe there are more people like me who want to get the feel of a lens (again) and experiment a bit.

Day Prime is a great challenge but there is a limited time slot for each FL. You have to be there on that day/in that week, or wait another year ...

This thread lets you post on other days too. And lets you post shots that you don't want to post in the main photo thread. And maybe talk about your lens(es) of choice?

I think I prefer the shot of the day before.

Although these were taken with my designated tool for Day 25 (Zeiss Batis 2/25), I think this unboxing series better belongs here as I don't want to clutter the main thread with this many pictures...

1. So I got this packet (the logo perhaps hints about the contents and the letters of the shop name not visible in the picture are K, A and M)

2. Ok, the box is open. Did I really order some wrinkled paper?!?

3. Ah, there are some smaller packages inside.

4. Now inside that bubble wrap was this plastic bag...

5. So, it is a lens...

6. I guess this will be my tool for Day 30 of this Day Prime Challenge...

7. So, let's see what was in that small cardboard box...

8. Now we have a nice setup ready for some action

I did mount that combo on the camera, but didn't yet take pictures as I found that f/3.5 is bit dark for available light shooting in my living room.

I went to dispose the packaging materials and I discovered that the box did include something extra under the second layer of the paper! Now since the new lens was mounted and I felt lazy I did check if I could take a photo with that and it succeeded!

Oh no, not another zebra lens! Even the candy wrapping matches the zebra theme. Some people are something else. What kind of person (seller) matches the design of their product with candies?
Is this private sale Heikki or from store?
I know when my husband orders something from Ukraine they always send few chocolate candies with merchandise but I haven't seen this from others.

Although it might be possible that they send those Marianne candies with any orders...

As the the package tape tells, it was from Kameratori, which specializes in second hand camera equipment.

Since I have been following the good old fashion of posting only pictures taken on the days matching the focal length, I'm not yet willing to break my style by posting this into the main thread, but I guess I should still show what would have been my contingency plan if I had failed to take any shots today...

So, already on Monday I managed to use Sony FE 2/28 for some bird photography:

Hezu I have also bought from Kameratori before, they have a nice range of used gear...I didnt find my mints until a few months after when I went to re use the box and decided they may not be edible lol.

I know we don`t crop on day prime so I prefer a 16:9 crop of one of my week 35 shots

A99ii & Minolta 35mm f2.

Too much cropped off the right so this one is an outtake for week 5, 35mm.
