I feel week 8 pressure building with day 50/51/53/54/55 and too many lenses to choose from.

First time out with this DIY project, it`s a Luminor Anastigmat 45mm 2.8 from a Yamato Pax M4. Yamato were a now defunct Japanese fixed lens RF maker from the 50`s, everything was made in house so no outsourcing for lenses. After cannibalising the lens, I`ve temporarily mounted it on a RAF cameras contax RF block which fits nicely inside my M52 helicoid adapter. Fiddly but works reasonably well (it did try to fall out once or twice) `til I come up with something better.

That's OK Chris; and we like cannibals that present unheard of lenses on Day Prime! Very decent lens!

Without DIY a lot of the Prime Days cannot be done!

We got a real week 50 on Day Prime next week. Too much choice, very stressing. OTOH I read somewhere stress is a choice; now where's that article ...

Yes it`s fun reviving some of these old RF lenses. I don`t think my plane of focus was entirely flat in some. But it was reasonably impressive for what it is.

I'm not into camera butchering (yet??) so my only 45 mm is the famous Rokkor MD 45/2 which I took today on a morning walk to the park nearby.

45-1: Underside of the tinder fungus

45-2: Uprooted

45-3: Root system

45-4: Nothing equals Meyer bubbles, but I like these Minolta bubbles as well

45-5: Weathered wood

All A7 + MD Rokkor 45/2

For this challenge I am still free this week, but like the very diverse contributions so far!

I went to bird twitching today and found the woodlark, but also snapped with the prime lens of the day few pictures of the environment where this bird was found...

Great Pics Pieter! I took it out as well and like it a lot. I did not know it is so bubbly.

Thanks Paul, I didn't know it either. But as they say "Even a blind squirrel finds a nut once in a while"

I like the new "week" day prime system

Today we went with some friends to the Ai Wei Wei photo exhibition in the Photography museum in Antwerp.
The amount of pictures and displays were overwhelming but also very interesting. It's always dangerous to take pictures of someone else's art but here's some impressions:

45-6: Wall of snaps and bursts

45-7: Relating to refugees (I think the fire extinguisher sign was not a part, but fitted well)

45-8: The Olympic stadium under construction in Beijing (In China they call it the National stadium)

45-9: Part of the selfie wall

45-10: Kids play corner

On the way down the stairs towards the exit my eye caught this "white hole". Kind of the opposite to a black hole in outer space

45-11: White hole

All A7 + MD Rokkor 45/2 @ 2.8 (except 45-11 @ f5.6)
