Hope you had a nice day Pieter. I prefer 2 over 1. The night shots are very nice. Great stars!

Your planets keep coming out nice Paul, I guess it takes some practice to spot the right subjects to make compelling images that way.
And thanks for your comments on the Leiden pictures, glad you liked 2, it's more alive than 1, but 1 shows very well how desolate Leiden looks on a cold/windy/rainy afternoon. We had a great time at the meeting allthough in the end we were only three due to some sickness and domestic accidents of two "want to be" participants The Voigt 12/5.6 makes nice stars, but wait until you see the 65/2 they even look more impressive. Some will show up in the Leiden meeting thread (to be started when Bob has had time to process and post the group shot) and maybe I'll have an opportunity early March to show it off as well. |

Also like Paul's planet shots.
A petty I couldn't join in Leiden. For me #1 as well Pieter. The rear wheel of the bike looks difficult to ride . The night shots are nice too. |

I walked through Leiden yesterday and met someone who lends me his 12mm Voigtlander.
#1 Leiden Burcht #2 More Leiden Burcht with an obviously exhausted Bob_J #3 Leiden Rijn #4 Leiden old house What's that @#$^&* bike doing there? #5 Leiden Botanical garden #6 more Leiden Botanical garden (seriously) #7 building #8 Leiden City hall #9 Fisheye (Lensbaby F/4) apparently, my fisheye missed the serious training that snegren gave it. Thx for lending the lens Pieter All A9 With Voigtlander Heliar ultra-wide 12mm @ HIGH iso |

That is the Voigtlander 65/2 APO if I understand correctly? Planets are easy on the right subject, many times it doesn't work so I just delete a lot. |

I tried more conventional shots but couldn't get it to work, but perhaps this is due to my flawed technique. I like making 'planets' but the novelty wears of fast and the lens will go into storage for next year's Day Prime. |

Leiden is well represented!
These were taken on the 8th with the 8mm Samyang A-mount on an a7ii/LA-EA3: cropped to remove the lens hood and bring closer to the originaly intended APS-C crop.. Windmill Canal, Lifting bridge & Windmill (throw in a bicycle and some clogs and we would have a full set of stereotypes!) Barge Canal-side building Deo Volente |
