Dia Projektions Objektiv Meyer Görlitz

photo made with a7 + Sony Video Lens 1:1.6 f = 12-72mm

Puzzling glass! No focal length, no f-number, just the strange 'name' Dia Projektions Objektiv Meyer Görlitz (and a serial number).

The 'taking' lens is another puzzle. I got it in a batch of lenses but I can't find any information about it. I'm not sure it is complete. There's no mount, no iris, no helicoid, no zoom option; the lens consists of two elements. I assume this is the 12mm ...

I like the effect, full of character :-)

Next week will be a "Minolta week" for me, with the 16/2.8 FE, Rokkor 17/4 and 20/2.8

Only by the looks of it there will only be one day of reasonable weather (Tuesday), so I better make sure that is a productive one

Yes Paul, us southern hemispherians are spoilt in that way at this time of the year. I do note however that a lot of terrific images have been posted in this thread already by northern hemispherians despite the conditions!
C & C always welcome

True, but you have to pick your moments.

Very true, this afternoon we had a few hours of unexpected dry/sunny weather, so I quickly ran out with the A7ii + LA-EA4 + Minolta 16/2.8 fish-eye

16-1: Locked

16-2: Open

16-3: Ribs

16-4: KG3500

16-5: High profile

16-6: 25m

I find fish-eye lenses challenging and when used too much I find my pictures are all getting the same and boring. Probably my own limitation of imagination. Allthough I took the lens along to the queen's house in Geenwich in April last year and came home with a couple of images I'm quite happy with. Probably I need the right combination of mood and subject that is not always easy to find.

So, tomorrow I'll probably make it "rectalinear day" with a Rokkor 17/4 and Minolta 20/2.8, allthough my fish-eye comes along to see if I can challenge myself a bit more to use it.

My Day 14 included some other commitments that hindered my efforts to go out with camera(s), but I returned home just in time to record the nice sunset from the apartment balcony...

Snowy trees on my neighbourhood tempted me to briefly go out to do some night photography...

Posted my first (poor) efforts in a Day Prime challenge and hope to do better! I have reviewed my options- counting zoom ends I have 10, 16, 18, 20, 24, 28, 30, 35, 50, 55, 60, 70, 75, 80, 85, 100, 105, 135, 170, 200, 210, 250 & 300 covered - though I'm far from convinced I will remember to use them all. I will, however, try to contribute with all my prime FLs and to shoot on the appropriate day.

Some are APS-C which is not ideal - especially at this end of the year when all the great wide shots are being posted - TFS! I am now beginning to yearn for a fisheye.

Getting my head around the TC rule - I can use any TC on any lens of 135mm or more?

Yes, any converter used on a lens over 135 mm is fair game

Looking forward to your contributions, like challenges Day prime always brings out special shots that are worth looking at
