It seems everyone is still busy getting their images in for the past week, before next week the popular length of 21 and especially 24 mm are covered.
Well, for me it's no different. Today the weather was nice and I went to Hof ter Linden, a small wood in our town (under threat to be taken down entirely for a new development) with somewhere at the side a small castle and some farmhouses around it.

20-4: Unfortunately there's no good view of the castle from any of the public trails, so this image of one of the surrounding farm houses has to do

Handheld panorama of 2 shots, stitched in Lightroom

I took too many pictures, so I will devide them in different themes and start with a bit of a story (more to come later)

20-5: Grandpa had to be taken down after a long and beautiful life

20-6: His limbs were cut off and soon he was covered with hoar frost

20-7: The mortal wound

20-8: Fortunately his grandchildren stayed with him until the end

All A6000 + E20/2.8
Mind the bandwidth of others, don't link pictures larger then 1024 wide or 960 pix high, see here

More Day 16

1 The art of reflection

2 Battered art

3 The art of reflection

4 The blue sky is the limit

5 Circular stairway

all with a7 + Sony E 16/2.8 modified for FF by removing the back cover.
Vignetting is pronounced but not too bad and can be eliminated with a little cropping and help from PS. Distortion in the corners is significant but I can live with that; moreover like bokeh, distortion can be used as a creative tool.

Let's start the new week with a lunar eclipse. Cropped to 16:9 aspect ratio.

HK24.1

α7R III + CZ 4/24-70 @ 24 mm, f/4, 1/25 s, ISO 6400

I had prepared to take some shots also with 21 mm, but looking how small the moon was in this shot taken with 24 mm I thought that was pointless...
