Thanks Fred! Did you manage to see the lights in Alkmaar?
Thanks again Fred! Your Day 30 boat shots are excellent! Curves are so photogenic up close with a wide angle. ![]() |

Unfortunalely not (yet). I stopped out of work in Castricum earlier this week, where another one was supposed to be, but it had been removed already. The one in Alkmaar should stay a bit longer, so still an option with the FL's for this week. |

Thanks Leo! I had passed by this location many times out of work (it is close to the Day 29 windmill) and hoped it might give some shooting opportunities, which worked out reasonably well. It was pretty cold though, so I didn't stay too long and only worked handheld. |

Today I visited Battery Park in New York. There is a permanent exhibition: Tom Otterness Real World Sculptures.
I had two lenses: Minolta MD 35mm/2.8 and Vivitar (Tokina) 35mm/2.8 for Minolta MD mount. I am not entirely happy with the results but I can always blame the grandchildren who were impatient because they wanted to go to the sandbox. We have such a warm winter in New York (for now). All Sony7R photos. Four Minolta (fully open) to start with. 35-1 ![]() Minolta MD 35/2.8 35-2 ![]() Minolta MD 35/2.8 35-3 ![]() Minolta MD 35/2.8 35-4 ![]() Minolta MD 35/2.8 And the next four from Vivitar 35/2.8 35-5 ![]() Vivitar 35/2.8 35-6 ![]() Vivitar 35/2.8 35-7 ![]() Vivitar 35/2.8 35-8 ![]() Vivitar 35/2.8 |

For Day 35 I will present you an unboxing...
HK35.1 Ok, I fetched a big cardboard box (38 × 40.5 × 51 cm) from a Posti self-service delivery point ![]() α7R II + CZ FE 2,8/35 @ 35 mm, f/4, 1/40 s, ISO 1250 HK35.2 Hmm, looks like I got a box full of paper! ![]() α7R II + CZ FE 2,8/35 @ 35 mm, f/4, 1/40 s, ISO 3200 HK35.3 Ah, on the bottom there is few other items too! ![]() α7R II + CZ FE 2,8/35 @ 35 mm, f/4, 1/40 s, ISO 4000 In case if the last picture is little vague: that long package contains brand new Peak Design Travel Tripod and the smaller ones are spike feet and universal head adapter for it. Initial impressions are that it is quite nice and foremost compact, perhaps little heavier than I expected. I'll tell more impressions once I have taken it out for some real usage. |
