The second unexpected lens is the old Sigma 28-105 / 2.8-4 Aspherical zoom. AF crackles, rattles but works :) And the quality of the photos is amazingly good. All done for 28mm with Sony A7R and adapter LE-EA4.

I finally start week 5. First to go on my camera: Minolta MC W.ROKKOR-SI 28mm F2.5. It is known as a radioactive lens. It has yellowish tint on the front element, which according to the general knowledge on the web is a result of the radioativity of the element. I thought it can actually be an advantage in some seascape photos, giving them a warmer look. So here are some photos from today (and many thanks to my kid who asked me to take him to the underwater observatory - a good place for taking pictures...)
28.1 The underwater observatory #1 Sony ILCE-7RM4 + Minolta MC W.ROKKOR-SI 28mm F2.5 | f/8 | 1/640 sec | ISO 200 28.2 The underwater observatory #2 Sony ILCE-7RM4 + Minolta MC W.ROKKOR-SI 28mm F2.5 | f/8 | 1/500 sec | ISO 200 But is can also be used indoors... 28.3 Shark feeding Sony ILCE-7RM4 + Minolta MC W.ROKKOR-SI 28mm F2.5 | f/2.5 | 1/100 sec | ISO 1600 And lastly, this evening I replaced the lens with the next one for this week: Minolta AF 28mm F2. Yesterday it was Gil's 5th birthday and tonight we had another small celebration (with another small cake...) 28.4 Happy birthday Gil Sony ILCE-7RM4 + Minolta AF 28mm F2 | f/2 | 1/40 sec | ISO 1000 |

I know I'm hopelessly out of sequence but due to a short holiday to Seville in the South of Spain I had no time to process or post. I have considered filling a placeholder but that seems unattractive for various reasons. Weather was so so, rain on the first two days but manageable with umbrella. The other days had occasional sun. The benefits were no greasy body parts from sunscreen and mild temperatures. The bulk of my photography was done with 24-105 on A7Rii and 16-35 on A7 with LA-EA3, so this is not a good series. I hope to show these in a separate thread if ever I'm going to get through the excessive amount of pictures I took (I just don't know how to stop and Sevilla is very picturesque).

It is an example of an Italian Renaissance building with Mudéjar elements and decorations. It is considered the prototype of the Andalusian palace. The Casa de Pilatos has around 150 different 1530s azulejo (Spanish glazed tile) designs made by the brothers Diego and Juan Pulido,[2] one of the largest azulejo collections in the world. 21.2: Roman artefacts in La Casa de Pilatos (Pilate's House) Minolta MC W.Rokkor-NL 1:2.8 f=21mm at f/2.8 Camera Model: ILCE-7RM2 Lens: Minolta MC W.Rokkor-NL 1:2.8 f=21mm Aperture: f/2.8 Exposure Time: 0.017 sec (1/60) ISO: 1000 21.3: Big Knocker Camera Model: ILCE-7RM2 Lens: Minolta MC W.Rokkor-NL 1:2.8 f=21mm Aperture: f/2.8 Exposure Time: 0.017 sec (1/60) ISO: 640 21.4: A series of gates in Casa de Pilatos Minolta MC W.Rokkor-NL 1:2.8 f=21mm at f/2.8 Camera Model: ILCE-7RM2 Lens: Minolta MC W.Rokkor-NL 1:2.8 f=21mm Aperture: f/2.8 Exposure Time: 0.01 sec (1/100) ISO: 100 The Plaza de Espana ("Spain Square", in English) is a plaza in the Parque de María Luisa (Maria Luisa Park), in Seville, Spain, built in 1928 for the Ibero-American Exposition of 1929. Day 25.4 from Sevilla. All with A7 and Taylor, Taylor & Hobson Cooke Kinic 1 Inch f/1.5 (C-mount 16 mm film lens) at f/1.5.
25.1: NO&DO The symbol as you can see in the picture, is the letters NODO with a piece of roped thread in the middle. It became the motto after the “Reconquest” of Seville from the Muslims in 1248. King Fernando III, El Santo, King of Castilla and Leon moved his court to the former Muslim palace, the Alcazar of Sevilla. The symbol, which is spoken as “No me ha dejado” translates to “it (Sevilla) who did not abandon me.” When spoken in a Sevillian accent, the phrase sounds like “no madeja-do,” which explains the NO&DO symbol, as majeda can mean looped thread. After San Fernando’s death in the Real Alcazar, his son, Alfonso X, “the Wise”, assumed the throne. Alfonso X was a scholar king, hense his title. He was a poet, astronomer, astrologer, musician, and linguist. Alfonso’s son, Sancho IV of Castile, tried to steal the throne from his father, but the people of Seville remained loyal to their king and this is where NO8DO was believed to have originiated when, according to legend, Alfonso X rewarded the fidelity of the “sevillains” with the words that now appear as the official of emblem of the city of Seville. 25.2: Bench on wet street 25.3: Golden Gate, Casa de Pilatos 25.4: Door Decoration, Casa de Pilatos 25.5: Knocker 25.6: Fence 25.7: Stacked Chairs 25.8: XO 25.9: Leaf on Bench 25.10: Sevillan Bike Tours 25.11: Blue at Plaza de Espana Edited by Snegren - 01 February 2020 at 11:21 |
