I must apologize for letting you down here. I am working on a project at home which took considerably more time and energy than I expected. In addition an unexpected 3 hours "taxi drive" had to be done for one of the girls last Saturday. Can't promise anything for this week either .

Nevertheless my compliments for the Day 250 contributions!
Great work guys!

@darosa, it's really a pauljg link

@Snegren, I agree, there's a big difference in intensity of "day prime" between the first half and the second half of the year.

After this week it's just 280, 300, 336 and 360 left for me, so also very quiet.

But first 252 mm:

252-1: Building Bridges

They're either lifting bridges higher or building new ones along the King Albert Canal to be able to transport more containers with higher/broader barges. If the span is too small the bridge gets replaced, if it's broad enough to broaden the canal underneath it's lifted and the pylons increased in height. A massive undertaking of multiple years.

252-2: Still a few cables to be hung

252-3: Crane of the concrete plant next to one of the bridges

252-4: Bridge hangers

252-5: Bridge railing

252-6 (APS-C crop): Wasp

This lady was sitting on the lens hood when I was packing up, I softly blew it on the bridge siding where it stayed long enough to take a shot.

All A7ii + LA-EA4 + Kenko Teleplus 300 1.4x + Sigma 180/3.5 telemacro

Yikes, with that list I just realized that for time being I have just one possible day left for this year's challenge: and even that could be considered sort of cheating since it would be a teleconverter on a zoom lens. Luckily that would be one of my most used lenses (and frequently with that 1.4 TC), albeit with the zoom end I use less often...

Not a bad Day 252 at all Pieter with an interesting stack of adapters! I guess you didn't get Eye AF on the lady but sharpness and bokeh is surprisingly good on the bridge (details).

Should i get myself a kenko 1.4 ...

Leo, according to the chagrin of many (not me ) the LA-EA4 doesn't have (animal) eye AF and also lacks several other bells and whistles. But I find skill and practice can overcome some of the shortcomings and taking a few extra shots (I had 4 of this lady, of which 2 keepers with a sharp eye) also helps .

I find the Kenko Teleplus Pro 300 1.4x is optically just as good as the Sony/Minolta 1.4x APO (and bokeh is better). Mine doesn't have a chip so reports the wrong focal length (not a problem since you can adjust that for IBIS on the A7ii), it fits many more lenses and can be used on the Sony E-mount adapters. So I sold my Minolta and kept the Kenko. It also works extremely well on the 200/2.8 which is another reason to get one.

I know I'm running late and have fallen behind, but hope the Day Prime administration doesn't mind the late posting of my "Day 250" contribution.

Some great 250's here, particularly liked Snegren's Wave 1, Bolted & Seed head. Good to see Leo back in action, lovely old bridge well brought to life.
Just spent a couple of days with a friend who's bought a Canon 450D with an assortment of lenses for not very much money, took it for a walk & was reminded of my old A700 but it didn't have the solidity of the 700, nice & slow to use though !
All the best
